Coat: Grand Bleu de Gascogne-Short and smooth, but not to fine.(same for Peti Bleu and Basset Bleu). Petit Griffon Bleu de Gascogne- Rough, wiry coat.
Color: Tricolor; body predominantly white, tan only above eyes, on cheeks and underside of ears, black on head with a few body spots; heavy roaning throughout the white creates the "blue" color.
